Popular Comedian Lashes Out at Undecided Voters

As the presidential election draws near, comedian Lewis Black voiced his exasperation with undecided voters on “The Daily Show.”

Black’s association with the show started in 1996, where he gained popularity with his “Back in Black” segments. These segments, known for his comedic tirades about political and cultural issues, were a staple during the hosting periods of Craig Kilborn, Jon Stewart, and Trevor Noah, marking him as one of the longest-serving correspondents on the show.

Black used his characteristic humor to deride those still unsure about their voting choice, a scenario he finds perplexing in the current polarized political landscape.

During his segment, Black expressed his annoyance with voters who are still undecided despite two years of campaigning. He compared such voters to customers at an ice cream parlor who ask for multiple small spoon samples before making a decision, stating, “It’s a $3 cone, (expletive).“

Given the extensive media coverage and political debates that marked the election, Black expressed disbelief that anyone could still be undecided. In a humorous dig at voters still researching, Black joked, “Go ahead, do your own research. Hopefully, the library will let you huff paint inside.”

Black also discussed the influence of celebrity endorsements on voting decisions, referring to an undecided voter swayed by Taylor Swift’s endorsement. He criticized the trend of relying on celebrities for political advice, stating, “If you’re waiting for a Kardashian to tell you who to vote for, go ahead and sit this one out.”

Bringing his rant to a conclusion, Black advised undecided voters to refrain from voting on Election Day, expressing a sense of resignation.
