A tragedy unfolded in central London, England, on Monday afternoon, March 3, 2025, when a 45-year-old woman plummeted to her death from the Park Plaza hotel near Waterloo Station. The incident sparked a substantial emergency response and led to temporary road closures in the vicinity.
The unfortunate event took place around 4:05 p.m. at Addington Street, the location of the luxury hotel on the south side of Westminster Bridge. Authorities were alerted after receiving reports that a person had fallen from a significant height in Westminster.
Emergency teams were quick to respond, with three medical vehicles from the London Ambulance Service and six police cars arriving at the scene shortly after the incident was reported. A tent was set up at the site, and forensic teams were spotted working on the south side of Westminster Bridge.
Officials have stated that they do not consider the death suspicious at this time.
The incident led to a significant disruption in central London’s traffic, with vehicles backed up behind the cordoned-off area. Public transportation was also impacted, with buses rerouted while emergency teams handled the situation.

A comparable incident recently took place in the Bromley-by-Bow area, where a man in his 30s died after falling from a block of flats. Emergency services were summoned to the Gillender Street complex at around 2:20 p.m. on Friday, January 3.
Paramedics from the London Ambulance Service were dispatched to the March 3rd incident scene, working alongside police officers. Despite their efforts, the woman could not be revived. The medical response included specialized equipment brought to the scene in the three ambulance service vehicles.
