Guidera collapsed without warning in the living room of his Southern California home on May 11 when his heart stopped beating, according to his wife, Valarie Anderson. He was transported to a hospital and placed on life support, where he remained for three weeks while doctors attempted to identify the cause of the cardiac event. Following his prior directive, he was removed from life support and brought home for a natural death.
Medical professionals were unable to determine what triggered the cardiac arrest, Anderson told TMZ, leaving the family without answers even after his death.
