Trump Attacks FOX News Host in Brutal Rant

President Donald Trump unleashed a scathing attack on Fox News host Jessica Tarlov in a Truth Social post on Friday evening, June 20, 2025, calling her a “failed TV personality” and demanding her removal from the network’s popular show “The Five.”

In his lengthy social media rant, Trump accused Tarlov of “soiling” the roundtable discussion program and characterized her voice, manner, and commentary as disgraceful to television broadcasting. The President specifically targeted Tarlov’s role as the liberal panelist on the otherwise conservative-leaning show, claiming she consistently misrepresents his poll numbers and performance.

Trump insisted he has achieved the best poll numbers of his career while asserting that Tarlov constantly states the opposite. He referenced various polling organizations, including Rasmussen and Insider Advantage to support his claims about favorable ratings. The President also reiterated his assertion that he won the 2024 election by a landslide, capturing all seven swing states and the popular vote by millions of votes.

The attack came as Tarlov has increasingly challenged Trump’s narrative on various policy issues. On June 30, 2025, she criticized the President’s decision to launch new fragrances priced at $249 each, commenting on the timing as Congress debated his major legislative bill. Tarlov wrote on social media: “16 million Americans are about to lose their healthcare, but go buy my gross perfume.”

The fragrances, called “Victory 45-47,” represent Trump’s most expensive scent products to date, surpassing his previous “Fight Fight Fight” and “Victory” editions that sold for $199 each in 2024. The new line comes in rose gold or gold-colored bottles topped with a tuxedo-clad figurine and joins Trump’s expanding merchandise empire that includes guitars, Bibles, and sneakers.

Trump’s financial disclosure for his second term revealed he earned $2.5 million from sneakers and fragrances, demonstrating the commercial success of his branded products. The fragrances are sold through his website with vague descriptions promising confidence and success for users.

During recent broadcasts, Tarlov has presented polling data showing Trump facing significant challenges across multiple policy areas. On May 29, 2025, she reported that Trump was down 16 points on economic issues, 14 points on foreign policy, 26 points on handling tariffs, and 32 points on cost-of-living concerns, according to various polls, including Marquette and Fox News’ own polling.

Tarlov has also criticized Trump’s legislative priorities, particularly his reconciliation bill moving through the Senate. She described the measure as providing tax cuts to wealthy Americans while removing food assistance and Medicaid benefits, characterizing it as hurting the poor to help the rich.

The Fox News host has made several pointed critiques of the Trump administration in recent months. In March 2025, she responded to a military communications security breach by stating she never wanted to hear “but her emails” referenced again, drawing parallels to Hillary Clinton’s email server controversy. In June, she suggested Trump exhibited dictatorial tendencies when he promised to meet military parade protesters with “very heavy force.”

Trump praised fellow “The Five” hosts Jesse Watters and Greg Gutfeld as “terrific” while claiming they cannot adequately defend him because they lack access to favorable polling data. He asserted that nobody can tolerate Tarlov and accused her of lying repeatedly on air.

The President concluded his attack by claiming that people like Tarlov make his MAGA supporters “absolutely hate Fox” and predicted the network’s ratings would decline if they continued featuring her on the program. He also criticized her for not discussing his administration’s immigration enforcement efforts, claiming zero illegal border crossings occurred in the previous month compared to 62,000 under the Biden administration.

Tarlov previously apologized broadly for cable news coverage during a podcast interview in May 2025, telling University of Virginia political analyst Larry Sabato that as someone working in cable news, she apologized “to the entire world for what we export.” This statement came amid broader discussions about the media’s role in contemporary political discourse and its impact on public understanding of issues.
