Alec Baldwin Threatens Trump Impersonator

Alec Baldwin found himself in a verbal altercation with a Donald Trump impersonator, Jason Scoop, outside his home in New York City, New York. The spat escalated into threats of physical harm, as shown in a video clip.

The incident took place on Sunday night, February 23, 2025, as Baldwin was loading luggage into his SUV. Comedian Jason Scoop, dressed as Trump in a navy blue suit and blonde wig, approached Baldwin and started taunting him about the 2024 presidential election and the “Rust” shooting incident.

Video footage posted on social media platform X on Monday shows Scoop continually heckling Baldwin, who initially tries to ignore him and focus on his luggage. However, as the taunts continue, Baldwin’s frustration is evident.

Scoop mentioned Trump’s victory over Kamala Harris in the recent election – a touchy subject for Baldwin, who portrayed Trump on “Saturday Night Live” and openly supported Harris. But it was the comments about the “Rust” shooting that seemed to push Baldwin to his limit.

The impersonator repeatedly offered Baldwin a “total pardon” for what he referred to as “murdering that woman in cold blood,” referring to cinematographer Halyna Hutchins, who died in 2021 after being shot with a prop gun held by Baldwin on a New Mexico film set. Scoop even suggested that Hutchins was “looking down on him, smiling, happy” about the altercation.

“If this camera wasn’t on, I would snap your f***ing neck in half and break your f***ing neck right here,” Baldwin threatened, finally confronting Scoop directly.

Visibly upset, Baldwin pointed out that his children live in the building and warned Scoop to be “real careful.” The Emmy Award-winning actor went further, asserting: “Get out of here or else I will shove that camera up your a**.”

Despite Baldwin’s explicit threats, Scoop continued with his Trump impersonation, sarcastically labeling Baldwin a “class act” even as he was told to leave.

The altercation has sparked renewed public interest in the “Rust” shooting incident, which led to Baldwin initially being charged with involuntary manslaughter. These charges were eventually dismissed by a New Mexico judge in July 2024, absolving Baldwin of criminal responsibility in Hutchins’ death.

Baldwin has shared that the “Rust” shooting has caused him to suffer from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). In multiple interviews, he has expressed deep guilt over Hutchins’ death, while insisting that he did not pull the trigger and was unaware the gun contained live ammunition.

This is not Baldwin’s first public altercation. He has previously had a conflict with an anti-Israel protestor in a coffee shop, during which he reportedly hit the person’s cellphone.

Baldwin and his wife, Hilaria Baldwin, are parents to seven children and recently allowed TLC cameras into their family home for a reality show, a move contrasting with his public confrontations.

The encounter between Baldwin and Scoop highlights how the “Rust” incident continues to shadow the actor, despite the dismissal of the legal case. The viral nature of the confrontation shows that some people, including impersonators like Scoop, are intent on not letting Baldwin put the incident behind him.
