Bruce Willis, the acclaimed actor, was spotted in public for the first time in a while in Studio City, Los Angeles, California on Sunday, October 27, 2024.
The 69-year-old star from “Die Hard” was captured in a photograph while seated in a car, donning a black Los Angeles cap, a black jacket, and a white T-shirt, with his forearm resting on the car window.
The public sighting of Willis occurred amidst updates on his health from his family. The actor was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia (FTD) in 2023. His ex-wife, Demi Moore, recently stated during a visit with Willis and their granddaughter Louetta that he is in a “stable” condition, even as his disease progresses. “Being able to share with them whatever we have for however long we have it… I just feel so blessed,” Moore noted.
Emma Heming Willis, the actor’s wife, has been forthcoming about their family’s journey since Willis’ diagnosis. She revealed some of the earliest indications of his deteriorating health. “His language started changing,” Heming Willis disclosed, adding that their young daughters were among the first to notice his declining condition. She is slated to be honored by the Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration for her work in raising awareness about the disease.
Willis’s daughter, Tallulah, characterized his FTD as “really aggressive” while also highlighting the love she experiences when she visits him.
Willis, having been initially diagnosed with aphasia, retired from acting in 2022. His condition later developed into FTD, described by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention as a form of dementia that results in personality and behavioral changes, and difficulties with language skills.
The actor’s family is a blend of three daughters from his previous marriage to Moore – Rumer, 36, Scout, 33, and Tallulah, 30 – and two daughters – Mabel, 12, and Evelyn, 10 – from his current marriage to Heming Willis. Rumer, his oldest daughter, recently shared that Willis is “doing really well” and enjoys spending time with his granddaughter.
