The remains of Trentin Isaac, a 16-year-old Mansfield, Ohio resident, were discovered in Harrison County, about two hours away from his last known location. The Mansfield Police Department confirmed the discovery on Tuesday.
Isaac disappeared on November 12 and his body was found in Harrison County by the Harrison County game warden who was out feeding deer, on November 15, according to the Mansfield Police Department and Isaac’s mother, Amanda Craft. He was found at about a two-hour drive (approximately 100 miles) from where he was last seen. Due to the “suspicious circumstances” surrounding his death, his remains were sent to the Cuyahoga County coroner’s office for further examination.
The Mansfield Police Chief, Jason Bammann, expressed that the investigators are working in collaboration with state and local authorities to gather more details about the incident. Bammann was quoted as saying, “We have more questions than answers at this point.”
Numerous tips regarding potential videos and social media posts related to Isaac’s disappearance have been received by law enforcement officials. However, they have yet to receive any solid evidence supporting these claims, according to the police.
The Mansfield Police Department is discouraging the public from pursuing independent investigations, suggesting any relevant information should be forwarded directly to them.
A GoFundMe campaign is now active to support Isaac’s family. The campaign portrays Isaac as a cherished individual, loved by his parents, siblings, cousins, aunts, uncles, grandparents, nieces, nephews, godchildren, friends, and other loved ones.
Although no information was provided regarding potential suspects or persons of interest, the Mansfield Police stated that multiple individuals may be involved. They assure they are working diligently to hold those responsible for this act accountable.
