French-American rapper, Lucas Coly, 27, known for his hit single “I Just Wanna,” was confirmed dead in Las Vegas earlier this month. The Clark County Coroner’s Office reported that his death was a result of suicide by a single gunshot to the head.

The young rapper’s manager, I Discover Stars, revealed on October 3, 2024, that Coly had been grappling with mental health issues. The manager expressed his deep sense of loss, stating, “Being your manager was one of the reasons I stayed here,” he said, articulating a profound void following Coly’s death.

Amber H., Coly’s girlfriend and social media influencer, expressed her grief and shock online. She disclosed in a live video that she was on a call with Coly during his final moments, attempting to provide support. “I did everything I could,” she stated emotionally. “He could not take the breakup, and that’s just what it is. I couldn’t do it anymore.”

Coly first gained recognition on the platform Vine, and his fame continued to rise as he moved to YouTube and Instagram, amassing over 1.3 million followers. Despite his successful career, Coly openly talked about his struggles, revealing in an interview that academics was not his focus. He admitted to struggling in school, and his primary goal was to pursue a career in rap music.

Born in France, Coly relocated to the United States at the age of eight. His French heritage often had a significant influence on his music, and he expressed a desire to integrate more French elements to cater to his international audience. His long-term relationship with Amber, which was frequently shared on social media, was another aspect of his public persona.

Coly’s sudden death has left fans and loved ones in shock. His social media profiles have been inundated with messages of grief and support, with followers paying tribute to his memory. “Rest in paradise, Lucas. You’re finally at peace,” a fan expressed.

In the wake of Coly’s death, his management company has encouraged fans to stream his music, hoping to see him chart posthumously for the first time. His musical journey and personal struggles have resonated with many, underscoring the importance of providing support to those facing challenging times.
