Former First Lady Melania Trump is set to release her debut memoir, entitled “Melania,” this upcoming fall. The book, published by Skyhorse Publishing, is described as a motivational account chronicling Melania’s personal journey, her triumphs over challenges, and her demonstration of personal excellence.
Despite maintaining a low profile since her husband, former President Donald Trump, left office, Melania Trump provides readers a rare glimpse into her life in this memoir. According to the release announcement, she shares personal stories and previously unpublished family photos, offering an intimate look at the often-private former first lady.
The memoir is slated for release on September 24, 2024, and will be available in two editions. The “Collector’s Edition” is a 256-page, color book signed by Melania Trump, and it will cost $150. The “Memoir Edition” is a longer version, containing 304 pages, including 48 pages of never-before-seen photographs, priced at $40. Signed copies of this edition will be available for $75. Both editions can be pre-ordered exclusively on Melania Trump’s website, MelaniaTrump.com.
Skyhorse Publishing is responsible for the publication of the memoir. The publisher is known for its politically charged releases and has previously worked with Trump supporters such as lawyer Alan Dershowitz and ex-New York City Mayor Rudolph Giuliani. Other notable figures they’ve published include Michael Cohen, a former Trump insider turned critic, and Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
While the memoir has been announced for release on September 24, no additional information, including financial terms, promotional plans, or the potential involvement of a co-author, was provided by Melania Trump’s office spokesperson.
Originally from Slovenia, Melania relocated to the United States in 1996 to pursue a modeling career. She met Donald Trump in 1998, they married in 2005, and their son, Barron Trump, was born the subsequent year.
Throughout Donald Trump’s presidency, Melania Trump was known for her low-profile stance. She dedicated her efforts to raising their son and advocating for her “Be Best” initiative, which emphasized children’s social, emotional, and physical well-being. Contrary to the typical involvement of candidates’ spouses, she has chosen to stay away from her husband’s current presidential campaign.
Melania Trump made a rare public appearance at her husband’s 2024 campaign launch event and the closing night of the Republican National Convention. However, she did not give a speech at the convention, a departure from the tradition she upheld in 2016 and 2020.
In contrast to former presidents and first ladies, Donald and Melania Trump have not employed mainstream New York publishers for their post-White House books. Since leaving office, Donald Trump has released a picture book celebrating his tenure in the White House and a collection of letters from global leaders and celebrities. Both publications were issued by Winning Team Publishing, co-founded by Donald Trump Jr. and former Trump campaign staffer Sergio Gor.
Tony Lyons, Skyhorse Publishing President, characterized the book as “a diligent and historically important record of the turbulent recent past of our country, seen from Melania Trump’s unique vantage point.” He added that the book conveys her core beliefs of unity, hope, and kindness, and promises readers deeper insights into the intensely private woman.
The forthcoming memoir “Melania,” is expected to be a significant release this fall, providing readers with an unprecedented glimpse into the life of one of America’s most private political figures.
