According to “The View” co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin on the Monday, February 27 broadcast, former President Trump will throw a big temper tantrum if he does not win the GOP presidential nomination in 2024, and she strongly believes he will burn down the entire Republican Party if he loses in the primaries.
During the broadcast, “The View” co-hosts began their Hot Topic segment by discussing the possibility of GOP candidates being forced to sign a loyalty pledge stating that they would all support the candidate who received the party’s nomination.
RNC chairwoman Ronna McDaniel told CNN on Sunday that the pledge was “a no-brainer,” implying that the party was considering implementing it.
If anyone is going to be on stage at the Republican National Committee debate asking people to vote for them, McDaniel believes they should be prepared to support the voters’ nominee choice.
Griffin, co-host of “The View,” believes that even if Trump signs such an agreement, it will have no effect on him if he does not win the nomination.
She told her co-hosts that if Trump is not the nominee, he will probably lash out at the Republican Party out of spite.
Griffin claimed that McDaniel no longer has party enforcement capabilities, and that she will be unable to keep Trump, who polls show has a 40% lead in the Republican Party, off the debate stage.
If Trump loses the primary, he will most likely run as an independent candidate or trash the chosen Republican candidate, to which co-host Whoopi Goldberg replied that he will trash the chosen candidate regardless.
Trump’s tantrums, according to Goldberg, should have no bearing on what Republicans decide to do.
Trump will face Nikki Haley in the Republican Party primaries, while Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is expected to announce his presidential bid and is regarded as Trump’s most serious opponent.
